Awakening
I kept on having visions of Icy and the other puffle. They seemed to repeat that sentence every second…
“Everything is going to be all right.”
I hoped so…
But now I’m awake…
I’m now in an igloo. Somebody’s igloo. I’m on a table. No, a desk. Well, heck, it’s almost the same thing. Somebody is watching me. First he was worried. When I opened up my eyes he was cheering and had a smile on his face. There were two other puffles, red and black. The penguin was typing something in on his computer.
Peacewolf! Silver’s not dead! He just got awake seconds ago! Come to my iggy ASAP! ~WIIFAN7 10
The penguin was Wiifan7 10. He was commenting to Peacewolf. He pushed his swivel chair with his feet near me. “Silver?” he said. “Are you OK?”
I spoke in mumbles but it was clear to him. “I’m…fine.” I said. I noticed a Band-Aid on my side. Where the scar is. Then I thought of something….
“If your wondering, the Puffle Whisperer gave you the cut.” said Wii.
“Wiifan…I need to get back out there…back to the mountains.” I said.
“What are you thinking? That cut is the worst one you’ve ever gotten. You could have died! All of us have no idea what happened to the Puffle–”
“Yes…but about Icy….at least let her rest in peace.”
“But what if something happens to you? Then you’d be in worse shape than you are now.”
“She was my twin!” I pointed out.
Wii thought hard. “Are you gonna be OK?” he said.
“I think so.” I got off the desk. Pain throbbed through my body. But I knew I could fight it. Anything for my sister.
As I got to the door, I said “Wiifan?”
He turned around. “What?”
“If I don’t make it…tell everybody I said good-bye.”
I walked out of the igloo and into the wilderness.
